ADRIAN DENING

A self-confessed car nut with over 35 years driving experience including
classic cars, motorbikes and even drag racing !

Adrian is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development and a qualified
teacher.  In addition to providing tuition for Drive-Rite pupils, he teaches astronomy
and runs residential science courses for children throughout the south west.

He periodically writes a monthly column about learning to drive in
The Conduit Magazine that is available free online:

Adrian is a specialist Engage Instructor working with Somerset Road Safety to improve safety
for new drivers and a member of the Yeovil & District Driving Instructors Association:

Being registered with the DVSA as a business user, he is able to book practical driving tests direct
on behalf of his pupils and has better access to information about test dates and short-notice
 cancellations that become available.

Adrian is also registered with the DVSA as a Pass Plus instructor.  The Pass Plus scheme
provides additional training for new drivers to improve their skills - there is no test at the
end, but the certificate you receive is acknowledged by some insurance companies who
will then offer a discount on your insurance premium.

He is available 7 days a week for regular lessons or intensive "Fast Track" courses,
covering an area of approximately 20 miles radius around Yeovil.

What's the story with the whistle?

All the examiners keep commenting on why Adrian's Fiesta whistles!

The reason is because the car has been fitted with a K&N induction system
in place of the standard air filter.  When the turbo is spinning and forcing air
into the engine, it is sucking air in through the K&N "cone" filter.

Adrian uses the sound and a turbo boost gauge fitted in the dashboard to
teach advanced pupils how the engine works and how to drive efficiently.

He has also installed a Sat Nav system so that pupils can gain the
experience of using one before they invest in their own.

If you ever make ANY modifications to your car then
you MUST tell your insurance company!

Even the Recaro seats from an ST Fiesta that Adrian fitted
last year had to be listed as a modification!

"I always try to go the extra mile to look after my pupils, for example I recently asked my
local garage JH Norman & Sons to source a used car ready for when a pupil passed
her test.  She passed, we went to mine for a coffee and to organise the insurance
and within an hour she was driving her own car away from the forecourt!"

In addition to cash and cheques, Adrian can also accept payment for lessons by credit or
debit card through "PayPal Here" which is a totally secure mobile "chip & pin" service.

If you are thinking of buying driving lessons as a gift for a friend or relative, he can arrange
for a card and gift certificate to be posted to them as a surprise.

When not teaching pupils, running science courses or messing around with his car collection,
Adrian maintains our website..................and occasionally he sleeps !
